Bandung, The Capital City of Asia Africa
“… and Bandung has been the focal centre – perhaps I might even say the capital of Asia and Africa during this period.”
Brief History of Bandung

Herman Willem Daendles (the Governor General of Dutch East Indies) never supposed - where he stuck his swagger stick on the "Zero Kilometers" and governed to build a city there – that Bandung which was still known as een kleine berg dessa (a little village on the mountain) had grown to be a big city in the middle of 19th century.
The Bandung District move to the center of Bandung in 1810 after the road that connected Batavia with Bandung through Bogor and Cianjur was completely done. This was the milestone of progress of Bandung because at that time the kampong Bandung gradually became a city.
“Paris van Java” was a name for Bandung which means approximately the Paris from Indonesia. Bandung deserves this name because it has a number of interesting tourism objects, namely natural tourism, shopping tourism, artificial tourism, and religious tourism and also various special snacks and foods offered in food stall, café, and restaurant. Beside that, the historical buildings inherited from the period of colonial government beautify the city.
Bandung is not only known as “the Paris van Java” but popularly as “the city of the Asian-African Conference” and “the Flower City” as well.

RAA. Wiranata Kusumah II
Founding Father of Bandung. He was the first Bandung Regency Major. In 1809, with this troops he opened a region in Cikapundung area. Soon he removed the governmental area from Krapyak to Bandung. Together with Daendels he built the city, which now become one of the most populous city in Indonesia.
Bandung, The Tourism City
God has blessed Bandung citizens with beautiful natural environment. This city is situated as if it were on the curvature of the earth surrounded by range of hills occupied by a great number of kampongs. Lembang (a little village between Bandung and the volcano "Tangkuban Parahu") and Dago are just another unique attraction.
Lembang is very popular with its chilly air and its qualified agricultural produce. Meanwhile, Dago now becomes lively with factory outlet and the other shopping center. An amphitheatre where art and cultural shows performed in Dago Tea House, while enjoying the natural panorama from above, make the visitors comfortable.
